Joss Arnott Dance seeks a professional male or female dancer to join the company for the creation period of their new outdoor production PULSE! and Summer 2019 tour.

PULSE! will be a new, outdoor dance and live music duet made for the streets supported by Without Walls and Arts Council England. Commissioned by Stockton International Riverside Festival, Greenwich+Docklands International Festival, Salisbury International Arts Festival, Déda, Pavilion Dance South West and DanceEast.

Applicants should have strong contemporary technique, creative skills and have previous outdoor performance experience.

We are looking to hear from performers who have acrobatic and parkour experience/understanding, whilst having also worked with mid-large scale set structures. Please state skills and experience when submitting your supporting materials.

Additionally, applicants should have exceptional teaching skills due to the company's extensive education and outreach activity.

Joss Arnott Dance create classical contemporary work and are based in the North of England. Applicants are advised to familiarise themselves with the company and their work and should be available for all the following dates:

What we are looking for.

We welcome dancers who are charismatic, highly skilled and diverse, whose abilities span more than just one genre of dance, including but not limited to contemporary, breaking, locking, popping, house dance, krump, African dance, lindy hop, salsa, experimental and freestyle.

We want to work with dancers who love to tell stories and feel comfortable doing character work. There will be a lot of ensemble work in the production and performers will need to be adaptable to different styles and able to follow choreography.

This is a barefoot production, there is no requirement to speak or sing.

We are looking for world-class dancers with the highest levels of skill.

We are committed to building a culturally diverse workforce and actively encourage applicants from different backgrounds.

Applicants must be aged 18+ at the time of the audition.

Dates of the engagement
The engagement will be from Monday 11 November 2019, with the outlook to end on Saturday 9 May 2020. This is inclusive of a 10-week rehearsal period (including production weeks), a London run at the Peacock Theatre followed by UK and International tour.

Acclaimed choreographer Gary Clarke requires a highly skilled male dancer for the Autumn 2019 & Spring 2020 UK Tour of his new mid-scale dance theatre production Wasteland.

Wasteland is the eagerly anticipated sequel to Gary Clarke's multi-award-winning production COAL and takes a close look at the illegal rave culture of the 1990's. This thrilling new production brings together a cast of 6 professional dancers, 4 male singers from local community choirs, 2 brass musicians and a strong design and production team.


• To successfully learn the repertoire from Wasteland from an existing lead role
• To perform Wasteland at a minimum of 14 mid-scale theatres venues across the UK *
• To perform certain sections of Wasteland in non-theatrical spaces to help promote the show
• To perform with and along-side a community cast of singers and brass musicians local to each venue
• To deliver education and outreach workshops to schools / colleges / universities

Cultured Mongrel is looking for eight exceptional dancers/ movement artists from a variety of backgrounds for the first stage development of Epic Fail: a dance theatre exploration of failure, permission to fail and societal perceptions of success. Epic Fail will be performed as work in progress, to an international delegation, at Edinburgh International Children's Festival in May 2019 in the hope of securing support to bring
the piece to full production.

Epic Fail aims to offer audiences the opportunity to laugh, applaud, support and
commiserate with a group of highly skilled performers who are destined to fail!
We are looking for exceptional movement artists with a minimum of five years
performance experience who are familiar with working in a collaborative environment.
We may work with autobiographical material, exploring the performers personal
experiences of failure.

Development period:

6th May - 28th June 2019

Performers will be required for either the week commencing 6th May 2019 or 13th May
2019. All performers must be available from 20th - 28th May 2019. Development will be paid at a rate of £500 per week plus travel, access costs and accommodation where required.

As we enter this milestone 20th year for the company, we seek applications from dancers who want to work across a range of performances and projects in multiple settings. As a 2Faced Dance Company Dance Artist you will be part of the creation of new works with Chinese choreographer Xie Xin, Artistic Director Tamsin Fitzgerald and a large-scale immersive dance experience alongside learning company repertoire including a new outdoor work by Alleyne Dance and our children's work MOON.

Tavaziva is an acclaimed contemporary-African touring dance company established in 2004 and led by Zimbabwean-born Bawren Tavaziva. His unique style is a choreographic synthesis of ballet, contemporary and African dance.

Madeline Shann is looking for 4 versatile dancer-actors, 2 male and 2 female, for R&D, creation and performance of a new 20 minute dance theatre piece "Edit", as part of Northern Connections.

Edit deals with themes of gaslighting and control, and will experiment with form and narrative order.

The roles require a professional level of training or experience in contemporary dance and theatre, with the following skills:

Character work and taking theatrical direction
Taking on choreography and choreographic direction
Learning lines, speaking onstage and combining speech with movement.
Partner work and contact improvisation
Working generously and creatively in collaboration with others.
